Wiksten Haori in kantha fabric

I made another haori, I really love this jacket. Very easy to wear, and looks very different in the different fabrics I have used – I have made 3 now! I am thinking about making some sort of closure, just one button or snap for it, for when I ride my bike.

The fabric is a kantha (cotton Saris sewn together, this is 3 layers), easy to sew, even though I did have to cut around some very worn patches and stains in the fabric. But well worth it, I love this fabric, and the story as well: Old saris getting a new life.

I did size down very much, I think two full sizes, and shortened the short length a bit too, for it to hit where I wanted.
