So, as you might know I tried to fit pants back in 2018 (posts are on this blog), driving my self nuts in the process. I bought 5-6 fitting books, watched several hours of tutorials online, made a cling wrap sloper and even ended up paying a professional tailor to help me make a pattern. […]

Today I made my first pair of #persephonepants , but surely not my last! I skipped the waist band pockets, and added the back pockets from the Filippa pants. According to the sizing guide, I was between size 8 and 10 for the waist, and a straight 12 for the hips. After looking at photos […]
I have made an oversize hoodie, using the pattern from Form on Etsy. I added the colour blocking to the sleeves to mimic a beloved hoodie from Monki. I made the smallest size, and shortened it a bit. One thing I forgot was to make the pocket smaller, so it goes up pretty high – […]
I have knitted two sweaters, inspired by the wonderful book by Lærke Bagger “Strik”. I have never knitted so fast in my life before, the colours are so fun to knit – and all my usual knitting anxiety are gone. For the striped one I used the bad idea scrap technique, love the book (I […]
I’ve made the Arum dress from Deer and Doe; a nice, floaty dress. The back is shaped with princess seams, and the front is one piece, including the sleeves! I made the neck with bias (this piece is not included or described in the pattern, so I just made it 1″ wide and used my […]
I have knittet Petiteknit Novice sweater in drops air and Diablo glitter from Hobbii. It is so soft and sparkly! I knittes size S, lenghtened the sleeves to 54 cm, including the ribbing. It was a pain to knit black, very hard to see the stitches, but well worth the trouble now 🙂
I have made the Willamette shirt from Hey June Handmade in cotton, I might try rayon/viscose next time for a softer drape. Well, this is actually number two Willamette for me; no 1 I lengthened way too much (9 cm), and used a too stiff interfacing in the collar. I also made it in size […]
I made the demeter dress today; or, rather, I took the top, measured 20 cm under arms and added the skirt with pockets from my Orla dress. I am not really keen on the curved front of the Demeter dress, I don’t need more rounding to make me look pregnant in that area. The fabric […]
So, summer has hit Denmark and I needed some clothing for warm weather. I made the Anna Allen Demeter top in the sleeveless version, adding 6 cm to bodice length, grading from size 4 in top, 6 on bottom. I did my usual shoulder slope adjustment as well. I really like this top, and will […]
